ATC

ATC Tower

So... I have been fiddling around with this thing called vatsim lately and I do simulated ATC for other pilots flying on vatsim. And I find it really cool and interesting. And Ive been wondering how a job in ATC would be. I know its very stressful and stuff but if anyone has first hand experiences with ATC please comment I would love to know how it is up there.
Thanks,
Ian

Ah, but you're not virtual ATC yet! You'll get there soon enough, though!

As a Pilot, I do have a bit of experence being an ATC. It is very stressful if you are at Heathrow and Atlanta Airport. You need to keep a close watch and dont make things so complicated for the pilots. Give them simple instructions for E.G. Left To A heading of 23 no no 245, Left to 245 and uh...Up to um 400, no 5000 feet. Air Canada 234. That was very Bad. Now this is going to be short and simple, Left 245 Up 5000ft AC 234. See the difference.

well any questions you can ask me. I am a professional ATC at Boston. I am BOSTON S APPROACH. I usually get switched between the different approaches. NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST. I hope to see you in your Cessna one day.
