G1000 vs. Analog
Hello again, So many times Zach from Cleveland my friend and I Fight debate over learning in the G1000 vs. Analog. So Im not going to put my response on what i think of it I really would like you guys to comment on it. We really want some opinions. Remember my goal is to be a Airline Pilot.

Well personally Ian, i think it is more important that you are learning to fly from the best flight instructor in the world verse what airplane equipment you have. That person I hear is doing your training. However airplane equipment is important and worth some consideration, to weigh in on what is better G1000 or analog. The airline industry was hoping that the pilots who trained in a G1000 were more "safe" pilots then those compared to analog learning. However, the case study came back that the airplane accidents were the same in the analog as were the G1000 and the reason being that it took a longer time to train people on how to land the airplane because they wanted to learn first the G1000, rather then learning to keep your eyes outside and fly the airplane. Needless to say, I still say it comes down to quality instruction, and maybe your instructors need to have a duel and see which one of their students can fly to better performance standards and how do they do in simulated emergencies in the simulator or even in the airplane. I hope that helps! Cant wait to start your next lesson. Maybe we can get your friend to participate coming here to do some training.
Analog or G1000 doesn't matter. My G1000 instructor couldn't teach me worth anything how to do stalls to FAA standards, and my instructor in the analog did.
But it probably matters more when asking about IFR training. G1000 would probably make it easier.
